The John Muir Side Chair was designed to emphasize and demonstrate the environmental-friendly nature of Old Hickory Furniture. John Muir was one of America's foremost conservationists, a champion of the National Park movement, and founder of the Sierra Club. The John Muir collection uses only 2" or smaller hickory saplings, which usually renew themselves within 10 years in a forest. The seat foam and finish are also "Green". Shown in Tahoe Bark and Centennial Finish. Price listed may not reflect price of the item as pictured. Made in the USA!
Hand-crafted and assembled using Hickory saplings (from the Tennessee Valley) for superior strength and durability, all of which are 2" or less in diameter and regenerate in around 10 years. The foam in the seat and the finishes are also environmentally "Green". Made in the USA using the same superior craftsmanship for over 100 years. Learn more about Old Hickory Furniture
